Truman Equestrian team strives to represent our university with our team atmosphere, showmanship, sportsmanship, and athletic ability. Stephanie Crecelius placed 8th (of 15) in Individual Intermediate Fences with a score of 72 points Recent News 10/26/10 - The updates page has been updated with all the results so far for this season! Good luck to stock riders at MSU this Halloween weekend! Also, make sure you become a fan of the team on facebook! 4/30/10 - On April 11, Truman Equestrian Team accomplished something no other team in the 15+ year history of the program has ever accomplished, by qualifying a whole team of riders for IHSA Nationals. The team first qualified for zones competition by beating out the 15 other hunt seat teams in the region over the course of the season to win the Zone 9 Region 2 championship. At zones competition, Truman scored 44 points, finishing second behind St. Mary of the Woods College with 48 points and ahead of University of Minnesota-Crookston with 36 points. The team will also be represented at nationals by individual riders Corinne Smith and Elizabeth Bramon who won their individual classes at zones to advance. IHSA Nationals will take place May 6-9 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. Good luck team! 4/1/10 - The regular 2009-2010 IHSA season is officially over, with Truman's hunt team winning the title of Regional Champions. Stock team was third overall in the region, with 135 team points for the year. On April 10, Zone 9 Region 2 Hunt Regionals will be hosted by NIU at Dassenbrook Stables in Maple Park, IL. Seven hunt team members have qualified for regionals this year: Liz Bramon & Ashley Ray in Walk/Trot, Kate Swinkels, Sara Walker & Krystin Schupp in Walk/Trot/Canter, Corinne Smith in Novice Flat, and Coach Emily Costello in Alumni Flat. On April 11, a team of eight Truman riders will represent the school and our region in Zones competitions. Congratulations to both the hunt and stock teams for a great show season, and good luck to Hunt Regionals and Zones competitors!
